Erin Condren 2018 Planner review
I just received my new 2018 Erin Condren planner and I am soooo excited about it. Here is my Erin Condren 2018 Planner review. Last year I ordered the vertical layout in neutral colors (Erin Condren 2017 Planner review). It was the first year the planner was available in a black & white theme. It was great since the pages could be decorated with any colors you wanted and it looked great.
This year I decided to go with the vertical layout and the colorful theme. I really like the new “painted petals” design and think it looks great in color (see pictures below).

As mentioned above, the new design for the planner pages is called “painted petals”. I ordered my cover in the same design so everything matches great together. I personalized the cover with my name on it but keep the standard platinum coil. You can order a black, rose gold or golden coil for an extra charge. There are many different cover designs available and many can be customized with your own colors and pictures.
The first page of the planner can be used to write down notes with wet erase markers. It can easily be cleaned with a damp paper towel and reused again. You can see how my “painted petals” cover matches the planner pages. I am really happy how everything looks.
After two pages with motivational quotes, you are able to see an overview of the year. I ordered the 18-month planner which goes from July 2017 to December 2018. The overview is great to mark down vacation time, school holidays etc….
After that, there are twelve boxes with room to write down anything you want. I think they would be great to use each box as a month and keep track of birthdays, goals or achievements. I am not sure yet what I’ll be using them for but I can get over yet how pretty those colors look 🙂
Just before the first month starts, there are note pages on the left side followed by a quote on the other side. Each month has the same set up. Last year I used this page as a summary page of the month. Fitness and Financial stats along with highlights of the month (memorable moments, events etc.) Not sure yet if I’ll do the same or something different.
Monthly/ Weekly Pages
The monthly overview is one of my favorite parts of the planner. I like to write down appointments, events and reminders in advance, so I don’t forget anything when I do my weekly planning. This year I will be trying to use more color coding and keep if fairly consistent throughout the planner.
Now onto the weekly pages. Each day is divided into three boxes. You can set them up the way it works best for you. Some people use it as Morning, Noon, Evening / Home, Work, School / Food, Exercise, Health – I use To Do, Today, Little Things and it works best for me. You can see some of my layouts here and please download some of my free printable planner stickers
At the end of the planner there are a few pages for notes. There are 4 lined pages and 4 dotted pages. Great for everything else!
One of the new things this year are the coloring pages. I know adult coloring books have been quite popular over the last few years. This is just a picture of 2 of the 4 coloring pages. The coloring pages use popular Erin Condren designs. I gotta pick up some nice pencil crayons and start coloring…very relaxing and fun!
The planner ends with another motivational quote and pockets that let you store planner supplies, notes, receipts etc… Again very pretty and colorful!
Now onto the “goodies”. Each planner comes with a few extras.
This year I am very excited about the sticker sheets. You will receive 4 pages full of useful stickers with your planner. The sticker sheets are attached at the back of the planner but I usually take them out to make a little bit more room in my planner and to make it easier to decorate my planner instead of flipping back and forth. It is hard to tell in the picture but the first two sheets have gold, rose gold and silver foil stickers…soooo pretty and shiny!
Plan for it Pouch
Each planner comes with a “plan for it pouch”. It can be connected to the planner with the coil clip to hold all your planner supplies.
The perpetual calendar is a small little calendar that is included with each planner. I think best used to keep track of birthdays and anniversaries. Events that occur every year.
I hoped to liked my little planner review. Please be sure to check out my other planner reviews and plan with me’s. If you have not ordered from Erin Condren before, you can use my referral link to get $10 off your first EC order and I will receive a $10 credit to my EC account.
